Abeokuta Grammar School mini stadiumLocated in the ancient city of Abeokuta, SW Nigeria, Abeokuta Grammar School (AGS) is the first secondary school in the old western region.

Abeokuta Grammar School can aptly be described as the first national school in Nigeria. It doors are open to any with a thirst for learning without discrimination of any sort, be it religious, sex, ethnic or racial. Its roll call of over 30,000 students features names from the six geopolitical zone (the main divisions of the country). There are also those of numerous students from the West Coast of Africa and beyond.

Abeograms as it is fondly called, is known for stern discipline, blazing academic performance, sport accomplishment and love for music. Popular songs like "Lori oke ati petele" and "Ise ya" were all composed and tutored in the school.
